Of equal importance is the community spirit upon which Banner Bank was founded as a small thrift in 1890. With more than $15 billion in assets and locations in Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California, we understand our role in the economic ecosystem and we take that responsibility seriously. In addition to being a source of capital to personal banking clients and businesses of all sizes, we place a high importance on contributing to the communities we serve. Founded in 1919 as the Glass Container Association of America, the Glass Packaging Institute (GPI) is the trade association representing the North American glass container industry. On behalf of glass container manufacturers and their supply chain partners, GPI promotes glass as the optimal packaging choice, advances environmental and recycling policies, advocates industry standards, and educates packaging professionals.
Gulfstream Shippers Association is an association that combines the buying power of its members to secure and maintain competitive rates from ocean carriers. Our expertise is in the home furnishings, building materials, Outdoors / Sporting Goods, and manufacturing industries. Gulfstream's owners and representatives consist of former furniture, manufacturing, Outdoor Lifestyle Manufacturing, and building materials executives who understand the industry's needs and timelines. These executives have represented leaders including Bernhardt, Broyhill, Lexington, and Georgia Pacific. They possess over 90 years of cumulative experience in the logistics field. Gulfstream Shippers Association is a privately owned and operated company.
Unlike NVO's who have agents to coordinate and deal with ocean carriers, Gulfstream Shippers Association signs contracts directly with the carriers. This not only enables Gulfstream to bypass overseas agents or middlemen, but it also eliminates any guesswork to create accurate quotes and enables us to provide lower delivery costs to our customers. In addition, the direct shippers contract ensures that the Association members freight is loaded with priority on their ships. History proves that direct shippers contracts take priority over the NVO freight. Our contracts take the merchandise from the loading port to the customers door.
Because Gulfstream Shippers Association is a direct shipper's association, our container availability is in large supply, which allows for reliable transportation of products to our customer base.
Gulfstream Shippers Association is your importing specialist. While your current volume does not justify signing a service contract for your imports, joining Gulfstream Shippers Association will give you the benefits of having your own contract.

Direct To Consumer Wine Shipping
DtC Shipping is Critical to Your Business – So is DtC Compliance

SOVOS SHIPCOMPLIANT

Direct-to-consumer (DtC) wine shipping is a critical part of many wineries’ success. In 2022, DtC shipments in the U.S. were valued at $4.1 billion and made up 12% of total off-premise sales of domestically made wines. The channel only grows in importance as consumers continue to migrate to online shopping and direct shipment.
While DtC wine shipping is a great way to bring your products to a wider audience, there are a variety of compliance considerations to keep in mind so that your business doesn't run afoul of regulators, especially as the last several years have seen increased scrutiny by regulators including audits and enforcement actions. There are serious consequences to non-compliance with laws surrounding licensure, age verification, labeling, carrier handling and more. Initial violations bring cease and desist letters, but fines and monetary penalties are also common. If noncompliance becomes habitual, DtC licenses can be revoked, which can have a domino effect and lead to the loss of production licenses.
Our partner Sovos ShipCompliant can help make sure your DtC shipping is always in compliance and you experience smooth sailing as your wine club and other shipments head out the door. Their cloud-based software offers real-time compliance checks and tax determination so your DtC shipping operations stay healthy (not subject to penalties, fines, or worse) for the long haul. On top of that, their Delivery Experience solution helps you deliver top-notch customer service around shipping in this age of Amazon and a new level of comfort/desire to have wine delivered to a customer’s home.
Washington Wine Institute members that are new or renewing Sovos ShipCompliant customers receive a 10% discount off a one-year contract of any Sovos ShipCompliant product.

At WeRise, we are on a mission to reshape the beverage industry one glass at a time starting with wine.
Why are we so passionate about this mission? It’s because Black winemakers make up less than 10% of the wine industry, women less than 20%, Latinx 15%. Our aim at WeRise is to build awareness of the fantastic wines from diverse and underrepresented winemakers. We seek to both engage wine lovers within the Seattle metro area and to provide access to communities that may be less familiar with wine so that they too can learn, discover and enjoy as well. We aim to build an inclusive community centered around wine and educational events. We're excited to have you with us on this journey and excited to share many underrepresented gems of great wines with you.
